Final Thunderbolts Trailer

Coming to theaters May, 2, 2025, The Thunderbolts drops into theaters reigniting the Free Comic Book Day/New Marvel Movie drop which had gone to the waste side since Covid.

The Thunderbolts brings together Yelena, Bucky, Red Guardian, John Walker, and Ghost under the orders of Elaine Benes LOL!

A big departure from the comics and more in line with the Suicide Squad from DC, the Thunderbolts sets the bridges the gap after Captain America and before Fantastic Four.  I am not 100% sure about this movie but am willing to give it shot!

DragonCon Parade 2024

I was able to piece together the entire DragonCon Parade 2024.  This year we were seated in the press area for the parade which was very nice and close to the action.  The parade itself is well over an hour but the wait for the parade to begin if you want a great spot to see is like a 3 hour wait.  So no wait for you.... sit back and enjoy this half hour supercut of one of DragonCons signature events!!

The Perfect Niche of Nerdom

DragonCon has been my tried and true comic book convention for most of my life. I’ve

sat through countless parades, sat in line for hours to enter the hall of fame, and hustled

my way through the crowded lanes at America’sMart. During my time as a convention

attender, I have had the opportunity to visit other cons and observe their glitz and

glamour; I can sufficiently say DragonCon remains my favorite. The perfect niche of

nerdom because there is something for everyone. Every year I start my DragonCon

experience by entering America’sMart and spend the first few hours roaming around

looking at everything there is to offer. Between all the floors, I always end up with at

least one new tote bag, (this year was a Taylor Swift Tortured Poets Department), and

several movie posters to decorate at home. The thing that makes the America’sMart at

DragonCon so unique is that there are multiple floors, which allows some space

between guests and allows for more fendors to be a part of the event, unlike other

conventions. There will be something brilliant for everyone, whether it’s a tote bag, a

light saber, or a corset, the options are unlimited. The city of Atlanta is the canvas for

the con, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Some of my favorite moments from this

year’s DragonCon was being able to attend the cosplay meetups. It’s always wonderful

to see everyone in character taking pictures with the Atlanta skyline in the back. My two

personal favorites were the Hellfire club meetup and The A Song of Ice and Fire

meetup. The Hellfire Club cosplay meetup got even more exciting when they were

joined by the one and only Morph, JP Karliak who I was able to get a picture with the

day before. Later on in the day, I rushed to attend the A Song of Ice and Fire meetup,

which are always my favorite characters to see cosplayed. My fellow ASOIF fans did

NOT disappoint. My favorite cosplay was a lovely lady who dressed as the icon Lady

Olenna Tyrell, where she brought a small wine glass, and a sign that said, “It was me.” It

was also impressive to see those who had put such dedication into designing and

making their own House of the Dragon cosplay. The second season of House of the

dragon had finished airing a few weeks before Dragoncon, after talking to many of the

cosplayers, most of them had been working on their cosplay since the first teaser trailer

and a few set leaks. The ability to have these kinds of creative conversations is another

DragonCon exclusive, because the con has wisely slotted a time and places for fans to

gather and chat. I was also able to meet my favorite sinner from Duval County, Manny

Jacinto. When all is said and done, DragonCon was, as it always is, a delight to attend

and be a part of. There’s never a dull moment, because there is always something for

everyone.
